Our membership grew quickly and last night our newly formed Garden State Artisan Market went live on 1000 Markets! It's so cool to see everyone's work together in one place.
I had a Batter Finger emergency (needed a couple for an order) and the fine folks at Fred inc. added them to a back order of Gin and Titonic Ice Cube Trays and I threw in some more Fuzz Scarves as well. They all came in today!
The Green Gift Fair at the Essex County Environmental Center was fun and successful. People responded nicely to my work, especially the Cardboard Packaging Billfolds and the new Ephemera Surprise Balls. I made more Sewing Pattern Collage Gift Tags this week too and they also sold well. Here's some pics...
These super fun ephemera surprise balls are a take-off of the classics
usually made with crepe paper. These surprise balls are made with
strips of vintage fabric from curtains and are filled with a variety of
small toys, stickers, ribbon, and lots of beads. Each ball has the same
variety of items but different specific toys and ribbons so that each
ephemera surprise ball is one-of-a-kind. Great party favors,
Thanksgiving table decoration/keep the kids busy, stocking stuffer, or
special little gift. They will have you dancing when you unwind the
yards and yards of fabric to reveal the contents!
