New Year, New Hours

Starting January 2nd our new store hours will be Monday - Friday 12-6, Saturday 10-6, and Sunday 12-4.

Calm After The Storm

Back to "normal" now after Christmas. Looking forward to a new year, finishing school and building the store up.

Red Heel Sock Monkeys

I bought some of the original red heel socks to make some more classic looking sock monkeys. They'll look a little different from the striped and argyle monkeys I've been making because the red heel makes the lips and I won't have to stitch a mouth on.

Gearing Up

As I'm gearing up for my last 2 tests in Anatomy and Physiology and a massage practical, my sister is gearing up for the Texas Dawah Convention at the end of this month. She details her progress on her blog and it's interesting to read about her experiences.

School Books

Yesterday I got a couple of backordered items from Chronicle Books.  Law School in a Box is a funny gift for would-be lawyers and the School Years Keepsake Album is a cute way to record milestones and accomplishments from kindergarten through high school.

Time Flies

I can't believe it's December already. So much has happened this year. And so much still to do. Looking back at old pictures is the only way I can remember all the details, I'm always so wrapped up in what to do today.

8 Little Monkeys

After the Artisan Market last Saturday I only have 8 sock monkeys left. I made one this week but sold it an hour after I put it on the shelf. That's how it's been going, I sell them as fast as I make them. I hope to have more time to restock them after school ends next week. I have 3 more classes in Anatomy and Physiology but I also have 3 more exams. Ouch. I'll be happy when this semester is over!
