I Never Thought I Would Know This

I haven't posted in so long because I have been so busy studying. I had no idea what it would be like taking Anatomy and Physiology in the summer semester. Basically, that's my whole life right now. I study at least 8 hours a day on the weekends. Not to mention that I also have 2 massage classes at night besides all the time A & P is taking. I will really be glad when it's over. This week we had 2 tests and it's only going to get harder before it's over. I never thought I would ever know this stuff. Anyone know what kind of cells these are? I do!

Why Do I Care?

Today I walked around Church Street with Abby and a friend. I had been curious if anyone had moved into my space. I was a little surprised to see that someone actually has started renovating the space. The windows were covered with paper but my signage was still there. That will be the last bit of Copabananas to go.

Only A Matter Of Time

Last Saturday my right eye started itching and hurting. I assumed it was from the pollen in the air. Today it was really swollen so I went over to the doctor to get it checked out. I was right, it was just from the pollen and should get better. Unfortunately for me, I was asked to read an eye chart. I was shocked to realize that I couldn't read anything with my left eye when my right eye was covered. I have always been proud of the fact that I don't wear glasses but I realize now that it was only a matter of time. However, if this is the worst thing that happens to me when I turned 40 then I'm doing okay. But I'm still upset that I need to get an eye exam now!

Ugh

Week 2 down. It's grueling, there's no doubt about it. I'm getting to know East Orange and Newark like I never thought I would, however. I'm getting used to my A & P professor's accent (like the terminology isn't hard enough). Our quiz today on organelles left me in shock. The highlight of my week was definitely when my lab partner pulled out the rat's kidney too hard and a piece hit me in the head and dropped down onto my notebook! That was a test in self-control! Massage is getting better. My classmates have all been together since September but they're all helping me get used to the way things run in clinic. My first clinic massage was awkward for me but that's why we do it, for the experience and the practice. I'm looking forward to improving my skills.

It's the little things...I got my blue star on eBay today for 50 positive feedbacks! Yay!

Scented Erasers

I got in a backorder from Kikkerland that I had forgotten about. These cute cube shaped erasers smell like grape, chocolate, fruit juice, strawberry, or milk. Each eraser comes in a cute milk carton shaped box. They're up on the eBay store now so hurry and order some today because you know your life is not complete without them!

Help Pages

If you ever need help on eBay, I've got to tell you that the live chat help is the way to go. If you can get through, that is. I had a stupid question and last night I went to live chat help and waited 45 minutes for someone to come on to help me. I gave up. So I emailed them instead. This morning their email reply was completely useless so I tried live chat help again. I had no wait at all and she fixed the problem for me! And I bet it was the easiest question she has all day! (It was so stupid I won't even share it with you!) And speaking of eBay, I only need 2 more positive feedbacks to get my shiny blue star! YAY!

I just came across this article from last week's Montclair Times about all the empty stores in Montclair. I just don't understand what people are thinking. But I'm glad they used my quote in the article. At the studio tour I saw a lot of people who remembered me from the store. Many times that day I heard how much people miss my shop. It was everyone's loss, I'll keep saying it. I guess the developers with the money win. Too bad.

Summer Semester

Tomorrow I start summer semester. I have Anatomy and Physiology and 2 massage classes, reflexology and sports massage. I'm looking forward to throwing myself into school for the next 2 months. Hopefully it will go by quickly if I stay super busy!
