Great Afternoon!

I think the Studio Tour was a huge success! About 200 people came through the studios in 3 hours. My friends and family showed their support and strolled the studios and hung around eating and laughing and for that I'm grateful! My friend Adam was a sales god and made almost all of my sales for me! He talked up anyone who stopped to look at my work. Kathryn's paintings filled her walls and looked fantastic! Abby shot some pictures and here are a few of them. The picture of the food shows the sugar cookies I made: dog bone shapes for Kathryn and buttons for me.

Studio Tour Today

So today's the day. My wedding anniversary...coincidentally. The Studio Tour is today! I'm pretty much all set. I'm more stressed about classes starting Wednesday than I am about today. Today will just be fun! I have no expectations so I won't be disappointed. As lame as that sounds, it usually works for me. I'll post lots of pictures so if for whatever reason you didn't show up you can see what went down.

One More Week

One more week until the studio tour. Kathryn, my studio-mate, and I still need to work out what we want to do for food and drink, and every other detail for that matter. We've been missing each other lately and haven't had a chance to talk about anything yet. We should see each other this week, though, and make our plans. Luckily I can be there a lot since my classes ended and the next semester doesn't start until May.

Parking Space Goddess

The 2" tall plastic Parking Space Goddess is a must for people with bad parking karma. Wind her up and her wings move up and down as she helps you find the parking space of your dreams. I am going to need this next semester at school when they close down the parking lot to build a new deck! She's up on the eBay store now.

Indian Posters

Today I'm going to put the Indian posters up on the eBay store. They were really popular in the shop and I remembered I still had inventory but never put them up on the web store.

Post Office Today

Today I have a lot of boxes to bring to the post office. I'm really glad that I pay for the postage and print the labels online so I don't have to deal with the lines at the post office today since tax returns are due tomorrow!

Bleary Eyed But Back

We're back from the camping trip! It was so much fun and I'm so glad I went! The kids were awesome and I got to know a lot of the kids, parents, and teachers I never knew before. It rained and it was cold and kept getting colder but we got through all our activities and had tons of fun. The parents even did a great skit during the campfire the last night and I think it was a big hit. We basically acted like the counselors and kids going through the activities. They laughed a lot and it was fun even though we didn't have very much time to pull it together. Abby took that picture of me last night at the Vintage Alley show reception. We were both running on empty, though, and I still had homework for class today so we didn't stay to the end. I like the way my work looked and now I'm really getting excited about the studio tour. The first picture is Abby at The Ridge on our hike yesterday, the second is bleary eyed me at the Colonial Cooking class, and the last picture is last night at the reception. Now I have to get ready to go to class!

Vintage Alley Show

The show at Vintage Alley is this Friday and Saturday. For me the setup is complicated by the fact that I'm going on the 4th grade camping trip as a chaperone and we don't get back until Friday at 2:30. That is going to be one hectic afternoon! But the reception doesn't start until 7 so I'm trying to get organized enough before we leave so I can setup efficiently that afternoon. Oh, and my last paper for massage class is due Saturday and I haven't even started it yet. Um, I better have a really good time on this camping trip!

The Bad News First...

The bad news is that I didn't get into the Renegade Craft Fair in Brooklyn in June. The good news is that I fit into my spring clothes from last year and won't need to go shopping. How's that for looking on the bright side?

Anne Taintor Mugs

Yesterday I got in the Anne Taintor mugs and some of the designs are brand new! They're all up on the eBay store now. The Housewares section has expanded a lot this week! They say: "An attitude is a terrible thing to waste" and "High maintenance doesn't begin to cover it".
