Happy Halloween!!!

Yay, it's Halloween! A beautiful day too! I'm totally exhausted from staying up late putting on sequins. I definitely got Halloween out of my system this year! But it was fun!!

Dress Up Day

I'm so glad the time changed! I needed the extra time to recover from yesterday! We looked awesome in our costumes- Jack Daniels, Sam Adams and the Bacardi Bat.

Artfull Living

Danielle hung her spooky abandoned building photographs in the store for her entry in Artfull Living. It was a beautiful day and the turn out was good so she got to schmooz lots! Plus it's cool to have them up right before Halloween.

Postal Seance

I love this book! It's creepy and cool at the same time. The concept is that letters can be delivered to dead people using earthly mailboxes as portals. The author mailed illustrated letters to over 50 famous people and recorded the results in the book, such as whether it was delivered or returned. For example, Walt Whitman's letter was delivered but J. Edgar Hoover's was returned.

Costuming

I haven't posted in a couple days because I've been in costuming quarantine. But now that the dress is sewn all I have left to do is add the 400 or so star sequins. I don't need to sleep this week.

Must...eat...brains...

The brain mold is a classic at Halloween! It comes with a recipe so you can get the good brain color, which is so important!

Typical Tuesday?

Fueled by pumpkin muffins and advil, I started working on my daughter's costume- Stardust- thank you Neil Gaiman! Really! I love Sandman and she insists on being the character from his book Stardust! That's cool. No problem. The first fitting was tonight and I'm a lot less worried than I thought I would be/should be. She's only gonna wear this for an hour, literally, but I'm still gonna go for it!!!! It's inside out in the picture, by the way!


I still have a couple weeks to fine tune it and add the stars! Project Runway this is not!! But it is fun!

New Masks

Today we got the V for Vendetta mask back in. We also got a new series of the crazy paper masks. These are 20th century icons. I'm wearing Audrey Hepburn. It also includes Clint Eastwood, Charlie Chaplin, Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, David Bowie and Carmen Miranda.
