Back In Stock Again For The First Time

Lots of favorites and a couple new items came in today! The Giant Handlebar Mustache and the Bacon Vs. Tofu Bendy Figures are new from Accoutrements. Also from Accoutrements are the Bizarro Glasses I love and Shakespeare Action Figure. From Blue Q I got an assortment of breath sprays, stickers, and tattoos, including Tattoos for Babies.

New Accoutrements Tomorrow!

Tomorrow a big Accoutrements order is due to come in. It includes a lot of old favorites that I'm out of, but also a lot of new items! I can't wait to see the Office Monkey Set, Rainbow Monkey Bandages, Seth Godin Marketing Guru Action Figure, and the Toast Wallet! That's just the tip of the iceberg! Behold!

Microbes Again!

Giant Microbes are back in again today! New ones include: Algae, Beer and Bread, House Fly, Krill, Mosquito, and Sea Sparkle.

Fun and Games

Today we got 2 new items from Fred: Frozen Smiles, a denture shaped ice cube tray, and the 2-Carat Cup, a fanciful mug that adorns your finger when you pick it up and comes packaged like an unforgettable gift.
We also got back the NYC Urban Compass as well as the 3D Dog and 3D Cat cards from Kikkerland. Everything is available in the shop and the eBay store.

Back Again

The Giant Microbes are back in stock and this time I ordered even more that I haven't carried before. I got a bunch of brain cells, penicillin, and MRSA. New this time are Typhoid Fever, toxic mold, louse, flea, Sleeping Sickness, scum and bed bug.

The Giant Microbes are back in stock. I added some new ones we didn't carry before including Ebola, Chicken Pox, brain cell, red blood cell, bookworm, dust mite, louse, maggot, MRSA, Penicillin, Polio, TB, and white blood cell.

Retro Candy Is Back!

We got our retro candy order in and the store smells like Violets which is good if you like Violets. I cut the box tops and put them in the window. I think this old fashioned candy is great for Easter baskets. We also got another retro relic yesterday, the Magic 8 Ball.

Democratic Dream Mug Is In Stock

The Democratic Dream mugs are restocked and up for sale on the eBay store and the website. I added one to the basket I made for the HOMECorp Benefit. The mugs are so funny, just ask my sister.

Looking Ugly

Today I got the Uglydolls order and they look great! Now we have 2 each of the Little Uglies that are going to retire this year, the new Suntan Target and Cinko in his new color, as well as a few of the old favorites.

Items of the Day

Today we got the wee little chairs I mentioned the other day. We also got a new order from Fred. Some of it was stuff we've had before like the Black Bar Glasses, Cool Shooters, and the Already Been Chewed Cookie Cutters, but some items we've never had before. We got new key covers, Glow-in-the-dark Skeleton Keys and Keyshirts. The Wooferang fetching toy is the first of many more dog toys I'd like to bring in. And of course I couldn't resist the Bananahandle pan handle holder for obvious reasons.

New Uglydolls for 2008

These are the first 2 new Uglydolls of 2008 to be shipping out- Cinko, and Suntan Target. Target's new story starts: "Suntan Target? That's right! Leave him out in the sun for a few months and watch his nice tan fade away! Target has been away on vacation for a while but he just had to come back to show you his nice tan. You would do the same, right?"  Cinko is now in a different color and his story starts: "Cinko is afraid of water. What if he gets thirsty? Aren't our bodies mostly water? What if he takes his family to the drive-thru window and everyone orders water? Can Ice-bat melt? Are tears water? Cinko needs help. Cinko needs you."

Pull Up A Chair

Today at the NY Gift Fair was great! We found great new items to make the shop even better. I pre-ordered the new Uglydolls for 2008 and ordered 2 each of the first series of Little Uglies which will soon be retired! I also ordered old-fashioned candy like I had at the other store. We'll have a few more political items coming in from Unemployed Philosopher's Guild including the Democratic Dream Mug, the U.S. map on the mug turns all blue when it's filled with hot liquids. My favorite items that we ordered today are the miniature chairs from Decor Craft Inc. that are pictured here. They're about 3" tall and really great!

Mixing It Up

Here's a few pics from the shop yesterday: Blue Q sent a couple backordered items, the Instant Rehab breath spray and the Know it All breath spray; Last Supper After Dinner Mints from Accoutrements; super cute punny valentines from Hoopla; the store decked out in repurposed encyclopedia page paper cranes; lots of billfolds.

Yesterday we got a small backorder from Accoutrements that included the bacon wallet and the martian popping thing, 2 old favorites at the shop.

Keeping Busy

I'm keeping busy making gLove Story Dolls, sock monkeys, and tissue paper flowers. Today I made 4 sock monkeys including the one from a toe sock, he's so cool. I made the flowers from old tissue paper patterns. I like the way they look. I need to name the new gLove dolls and give them their name tags. Most of the new ones are from the gloves I found on a walk around town last Monday.

Paper Masks

I put most of the paper masks up on the eBay store. They're great for Mardi Gras, as a party favor, or even as a decoration. So far the most popular has been Elvis but there's a great selection to choose from.

Perfect Timing

Right before Christmas, Filomena Jack from Quilts and Such stopped in. She told me she's moving to Montclair! She's opening up on Walnut St. near Trumpets as she details on her blog. Since she won't be doing so much retail, mostly workshops and special orders, she returned my consignment items to me yesterday. And the timing was perfect!  I added the gLove Story Dolls to the collection on the Etsy store and replaced xmas decorations in the store with the wall hangings she brought back. It's great that she's in Montclair now!

8 Little Monkeys

After the Artisan Market last Saturday I only have 8 sock monkeys left. I made one this week but sold it an hour after I put it on the shelf. That's how it's been going, I sell them as fast as I make them. I hope to have more time to restock them after school ends next week. I have 3 more classes in Anatomy and Physiology but I also have 3 more exams. Ouch. I'll be happy when this semester is over!

More Fun Than I Thought

I thought the Swap-a-roos looked fun but I had no idea how much fun until I watched Abby play with them yesterday. She swapped heads around, voted on her favorites, lined them up in size order, it just went on and on and on. If you need something to keep a kid busy for a while, for example, Thanksgiving dinner at the kids' table, I highly recommend these!

Latest and Greatest

Yesterday we got in a small order I placed of brand new, must-have items from Accoutrements. These are over the top in terms of the weirdness factor and I love it! For your consideration: the paparazzi playset, bizarro glasses, uber macho chest rug, flying monkey catapult gun, instant villain disguise, and oh yeah, the yodelling pickle. I used to say it's not the holidays without a glow-in-the-dark jellyfish, but they discontinued it. So now...it's not the holidays without a yodelling pickle.

gLove Story Dolls

There was a nice little story in Suburban Essex Magazine about the gLove Story Dolls this month. At $10 each I can hardly keep up with the demand. I named and tagged the dolls that hadn't been identified yet. I'm getting more yarn from Sima tomorrow for hair so I can make more.

Kitchen-Vision

If you're thinking your kitchen needs some excitement, I recommend these 3 items to solve that problem. First, the Cool Shooters are a shot glass-shaped ice cube tray that makes little ice cups. These have been really popular. Next, Holy Toast is a bread stamper that will definitely make your morning toast more fun. And the third item I recommend is just in time for cookie baking season. The ABC (already been chewed) cookie cutters are hysterical and will challenge your decorating abilities while providing twisted fun at your next cookie exchange. Look for them all on the eBay store if you can't make it in to the shop!

Yesterday I got in an order that I had forgotten I placed at the NY Gift Fair. It was the great victorian paper masks that I love so much. The icons of the 20th century collection is always the most popular.

Great Start

This week has been great! Lots of people stopping in to check out our new space. It's starting to shape up too. This week we got in the new Uglydolls we didn't have, including Sailor Babo, so cute! Yesterday we got in a brand new joke rack! This weekend will be the last chance to get discontinued items on sale. Next week all the invitations and paper products will be a thing of the past.

Today we got in my order from Fred, which is a great company with really fun stuff. Their best-selling item is the Monkeys and I'm sure they'll do well in the store.

NY Gift Fair August Edition

Yesterday I attended the NY Gift Fair with my buddy Monica. It was a beautiful day and I felt energetic and excited. We were less organized than usual but we managed to get through it and feel like we had a successful day. We laughed our asses off at Anne Taintor's booth, laughed them off all over again ordering MikWright notepads, and once again at Accoutrements where they had my favorite item of the entire show. The Assistant Manager Pennant is at the top of my list of must have items!

Parking Space Goddess

The 2" tall plastic Parking Space Goddess is a must for people with bad parking karma. Wind her up and her wings move up and down as she helps you find the parking space of your dreams. I am going to need this next semester at school when they close down the parking lot to build a new deck! She's up on the eBay store now.

Indian Posters

Today I'm going to put the Indian posters up on the eBay store. They were really popular in the shop and I remembered I still had inventory but never put them up on the web store.

The Uglydolls came in today and are now listed on the eBay store! The new doll, Big Toe, is so cute! And Secret Mission Icebat in 2 sizes is there too! "Have an Ugly day!"

New Items, Again!

New items! And they're new Uglydolls! What a great way to get back into the swing of things! In fact there are more new Uglydolls coming out and they will all be available on the eBay store and the website. The first new addition is Big Toe. He's very busy, but he's going to take care of everything! As soon as he's delivered I will put him up on the eBay store with some of his buddies in the regular and mini sizes!

Gummy Bacon

This strawberry flavored Gummy Bacon gets mixed reactions. Some people are totally grossed out by it and others think it's great. I love the warning on the back not to fry or microwave it. That just makes me want to try to! But I won't eat it because it's not vegetarian!

Avenging Narwhal

This is a new item and it's so twisted it's hysterical! It comes with extra magical tusks that the narwhal uses to impale the baby seals, penguins and koalas. It's a follow-up to the Avenging Unicorn set.
